Spirit of GME events

At GME events the emphasis is based on immersion and active participation. We try to provide a world where the story-line is the baseline at the start of the game but at the event itself players have the autonomy to decide how their victory will be accomplished and how this changes the story.

With this kind of role-play we like to encourage everyone to look at the experience they had and not hyper-focus on winning or losing. We understand you like to achieve your goals and (you should!) but please keep in mind this is the goal of your character, not the goal of the game. Multiple factions or individual people can accomplish their goals and this doesn't mean they have “won” the game. This isn't a regular skirm or combat sim. At the end of the game, we have only furthered the story.

Therefore we regard sportsmanship of the highest order. We can only guarantee a fun experience if everyone follows the event rules (not necessarily in-game laws) and the intent they have. Gaming the system is frowned upon and may give us a reason to refuse you from further events.

Things we think are cool and encouraged:
  • Be transparent about your character/team/faction goals to GME staff so they can support you in your endeavors.
  • Be proactive and connect with the environment and people around you.
  • Follow the uniform and weapon guidelines for the best immersion.
  • Calling your hit even when you are unsure. Yes it sucks, however dying isn't the end and can generate a fun story or interesting consequences.
  • Holding your teammates accountable for following the rules and taking their hits.
  • Play along with other people even if this is not in the best interest of your character. In example: going to jail for committing a crime.

Things we will frown upon or outright forbid:
  • Trying to always be the center of attention.
  • Complain about the lack of action. If we are to define ourself, we would more like a LARP event with airsoft elements than an airsoft event with LARP elements. It is possible you won't see any action during the event. We don't judge anyone on their preferences but if you are not comfortable with this idea, our games might not be for you.
  • Game the system. We like players to test the limits of their in-game world, not the limits of the GME rules.
  • Not taking your hit if you are unsure if the BB really hit you or was a ricochet or the grenade was close enough.
  • Real world crimes.

If crimes are committed, we will get the local law enforcement involved!

Tjardistan's story so far

Tjardistan was once a beautiful country located on the eastern shore of the Veridian Sea. A country consisting of lush forests, mountains and also sprawling cities all across the nation. It used to be the pearl of slavic culture, being the center of religion, universities and theatre. This however, was only enjoyable for the elite few that were in, or close to, power. Ever enriching themselves at the cost of the common man.

More than two decades ago, Tjardistan was thrown into chaos.

A collapsing economy and growing unrest gave birth to the Crimson Serpent, a radical movement claiming to fight for the people but quickly turning to terror and violence.

In 2008, a string of high-profile attacks—bombings, kidnappings, and even the assassination of Tjardistan’s president—shattered what remained of the fragile state. The central government collapsed. What followed was brutal civil war. The Crimson Serpent movement declared its own breakaway republic. A military junta seized control of the remnants of the state, sparking years of conflict. Cities burned, villages were wiped out, and the population was caught between extremists and authoritarian generals.

The fighting drew international attention. A coalition was formed to restore stability, launching massive air campaigns and ground offensives. The junta eventually collapsed, and by 2020, the coalition claimed victory as Crimson Serpent retreated into the shadows.

But the war was not truly over. In the chaos, the Serpent rebuilt. Smuggling, insurgent attacks, and propaganda campaigns kept their influence alive. After suspecting smuggling activities into Tjardistan, ICOS decided to send a small reconnaissance unit to identify who is arming the CS movement. This ended up in disaster, causing almost all operatives to be killed.

Following this, ICOS sent a force to find their missing man. He was believed to be in the Heruvsk region of Tjardistan. ICOS units were able to find clues on his whereabouts, but still remain unaware of his location. Rumors suggest he might be held captive somewhere.

Now, Tjardistan stands at a crossroads. A new national government has been installed, but its grip on power is fragile. Local elections in Heruvsk are meant to be a sign of peace and democracy. Instead, they risk becoming the spark for the Serpent’s return. Rumors are Crimson Serpent is moving weapons back into the region, preparing for the next phase of their war. ICOS is moving a stability force into the area in preparation of supporting the election.

The fight for Heruvsk—and for the future of the country—has just started.
